Katie Marton, FNP-BC
Katie Marton, FNP-BC, is a nurse practitioner specializing in comprehensive care of the hip and knee. A lifelong advocate of health and fitness, Nursing is a natural calling for her. Sustaining and overcoming her own life-changing knee injury as a teenager only reinforced what her course of study in college should be. Katie graduated in 2013, Suma Cum Laude, with her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of St. Mary in Leavenworth, Kansas. Upon graduation, she worked at the University of Kansas Medical Center as an Operating Room Clinical Nurse where she gained an interest and appreciation for Orthopedic surgery. Pursuing this interest, Katie moved to Knoxville in 2015 where she worked for University Orthopedic Surgeons as an Orthopedic Surgical Staff Nurse. An avid learner, she decided to return to school that year to pursue her Masters of Science degree in Nursing at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. With a concentration as a Family Nurse Practioner, and with honors, she graduated in 2016, later joining Dr. Ivie’s practice.
Katie played collegiate volleyball and has been a certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor since 2009. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, teaching group exercise classes, traveling and spending time with her family and her dogs, Rocky and Frey.
